Dr Harmeet Singh

Harmeet graduated from Massey University in 2000. Since his graduation, he has worked in small animal practices in South and East Auckland including Franklin Vets, Pet Doctors and Auckland Veterinary Centre. Harmeet has worked closely with Blind Foundation in providing veterinary care for the working and breeding Guide Dogs from 2001 to 2017.

To further his knowledge, he has completed a post-graduate surgery course from the University of Sydney. Also, he did post-graduate veterinary science papers from Massey University and achieved a Post Graduate Certificate. He has developed proficiency in a wide range of surgical and medical skills.

Harmeet is passionate for preventative and wellness care of pets. In his spare time, he loves watching sports of all sorts, walking if not running, visiting new places, and spending time relaxing with family and friends.

Dr Amy Burnett

BVSc.

Amy graduated from Massey University in 2010. She has worked with clinics in South and East Auckland including Pet Doctors and Vetcare group. Amy is proficient in all aspects of veterinary medicine with special interests in dentistry and ophthalmology.

In her spare time, she likes gaming, reading, cross stitching and learning and experiencing all things Japanese.

Dr Lucy Hong

DipEd

BVSc.

Lucy graduated from Massey University in 2020 and began her career at VSA and ARC before transitioning to general practice at Remuera. These experiences helped her build a strong foundation in emergency medicine, honing her focus on efficiency and precision in high-pressure situations. She excels at managing cases that require quick and effective decision-making.

Outside of work, Lucy enjoys spending time with her beloved Japanese Spitz on walks and seizing opportunities to travel whenever they arise.

Dr Linda Liu

BVSc.

Linda graduated from Massey University in December 2016 and has since gained valuable experience working in a range of small animal practices across New Plymouth, Wellington, and now Auckland, where she has settled.

Now in her tenth year of practice, Linda has a special passion for companion animal medicine and dermatology—helping pets feel comfortable in their own skin (quite literally!). She is dedicated to providing thoughtful, thorough care and believes great veterinary medicine starts with taking the time to listen, explain clearly, and support owners in making confident decisions for their pet’s health.

Linda also speaks Mandarin, allowing her to connect with and support a broader community of pet owners.

Outside of the clinic, Linda enjoys tramping and dancing, embracing New Zealand’s beautiful outdoors as well as its vibrant creative spaces.

Gaylene McKay

Practice Manager and Senior Receptionist

Gaylene has had the privilege of working in the veterinary clinics in South Auckland, for over twenty years. She has worked for, with and alongside a group of like-minded dedicated veterinarians, nurses and support staff over that time.

Over the last ten years, she has been overseeing the team and day to day running of the small animal practice.

Gaylene is passionate about customer care. She enjoys interacting with people and is always happy to help with any questions, queries or problems you may have. She enjoys the challenge of making things right.

Gaylene lives with her partner John and two sons besides a six-year-old ginger cat called Kitty. She enjoys reading, especially true stories and loves 80's music.

Hayley Bright DVN

Senior Veterinary Nurse

Hayley has been working in the veterinary industry for ten years since graduating from Wintec. She enjoys behaviour and running puppy preschool classes as well as the day-to-day task of Veterinary nursing.

Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family including a Jack Russell cross and three cats.

Keira Wallace

Veterinary Nurse

Keira graduated at the end of 2021 from Vet Nurse Plus receiving a Diploma in Veterinary Nursing. Shortly after graduating she joined the Pet Vets family and has been a fast eager learner. She enjoys all aspects of nursing and can adapt to help out whatever animals that come in, and the other nurses when needed!

Outside of work Keira enjoys playing video games, spending time with family including 2 cats, 1 dog and 3 turtles!

Samantha Holt

Veterinary Nurse

Samantha graduated at the end of 2021 from Vet Nurse Plus receiving a Diploma in Veterinary Nursing. She enjoys working and learning all aspects of nursing.

Samantha has a cat and one 6yr old son. When not at work she likes spending time with her partner and son, catching up with friends, and watching Netflix with her cat.

Jessica Ruben

Jess graduated at the end of 2024 from Vet Nurse Plus. Jess enjoys getting involved in all areas of nursing and enjoys the variety that each day in the clinic brings.

Outside of work, you'll find her out in nature, at the gym, or spending time with her two much-loved cats, Trixie and Bodhi.

Sophie Manning

Veterinary Nurse

Sophie graduated in 2022 from Vet Nurse Plus and began her career at Town and Country Vets in Drury before joining our team.

Her favourite part of the job is meeting new furry friends and caring for them while they’re with us. Outside of work, Sophie loves spending time with her own fur babies and getting creative.
